Forensic Statement Analysis and Linguistic Profiling Services
USING A SUBJECT’S WORDS TO UNCOVER THE UNDERLYING TRUTH
Forensic Statement Analysis is used to establish the overall reliability of a subject’s account, detect when deception is present, narrow down on what a subject may be deceptive about and find clues to establish the underlying; and often purposely hidden, truth. Investigators, such as law enforcement, private investigators, attorneys, human resource personnel, or anyone who may be tasked with investigating crimes or claims, utilize analysis to move their investigations forward, solve the crime and bring closure to victims and their families.
Linguistic Profiling is when the analysis is taken beyond just using a subject’s words to learn about their account and establishes what the subject’s words tells us about the subject themselves. Investigators use a profile to help establish interview strategies and/or narrow in on suspects concerning anonymous authors. This is done by learning aspects of a subject’s personality, background experiences, profession, etc.

Services Available
Investigative Services
We offer four tiers of services based on the investigation’s needs. All four tiers include the analyst’s notes, a report of the analyst’s conclusions and opinions, a live or virtual meeting to discuss the analysis and ongoing support based on the analysis until the case is resolved.
Basic Analysis: An analysis that is merely looking to establish the credibility of a subject’s account, report if deception is present and outline areas of sensitivity in the account.
Detailed Analysis: An analysis that goes beyond just looking at the reliability and areas of sensitivity of a subject’s account and looks within the statement for linguistic clues that can reveal the hidden information and help establish the underlying truth. A detailed analysis may include some aspects of a profile.
Suspect Pool Analysis: Eliminate suspects from your suspect pool by weeding out those who are least likely to have committed the offense, allowing investigators to narrow down the suspect field and narrow in on the perpetrator
Profiling: Includes a detailed analysis, but asks deeper questions about the subject’s personality, background experiences, profession, etc.
Anonymous Author: Includes the most detailed analysis and profile. In addition to all previously mentioned information sought in an analysis, anonymous author analyses can establish if the author is masking their identity, aspects of their true identity, their relationship to the intended recipients, threat assessments, etc. The more the subject speaks/writes, the more the subject tells us about themselves, however, this work can be useful on as little as a three word note.
Pre-Employment Services
We offer profiling services to companies and organizations to utilize during candidate screening in order to help employers weed out those who would do harm to their business. We look to identify those who are high risk for drug or alcohol abuse, theft or other loss, untrustworthy or who otherwise project an undesirable work ethic. Employers will utilize a questionnaire during the application/interviewing process that we will supply. The questionnaire will be analyzed and a report of the analyst’s conclusions and opinions will be provided to the employer for their consideration.
